This phenomenon of illicit influence in the political process is what the Hon. Ron Paul describes as corporatism, the buying off of congress people by lobby groups. In contrast, the oft maligned process of capitalism is simply the idea of saving and using this wealth to build or to improve circumstances whether as a small family unit or a fledgling company.
